Google has introduced a new feature in its Gemini AI app, allowing users to control smart home devices directly within Gemini App.
AI has developed a whole lot in recent years, with the development of a new feature coming from none other than Google in the Gemini App. Gemini is Google's own AI. This new feature is actually an extension in the Gemini App by the name of Google Home extension which will allow users to use their smart home gadgets within the Google Gemini App while chatting with the app.
Currently, the update is available for Android users that will let the users their normal language tone prompts like 'Let the party start' or something like that.
Earlier if the user enters a promo the Gemini app will redirect the user to the Google Home App. But not everything can be controlled with the Gemini app. You can adjust or turn on or off all your smart appliances like smart lights, TVs, smart plugs, etc.
However, the support is still limited to some of the smart devices.
To get access to this new Gemini App update you will need to follow the Google Home Public Preview guide or follow the steps below.
If you have the Google Home App,
If you don't have the app then
After this, you can log in to the same account that you used earlier. Now from the Gemini App, you can say 'turn on kitchen lights' and voila! Sometimes the feature is not recognised you may need to use '@Google Home'.
